SICK LEAVE HARASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION

Casino management agree to put a stop to sick leave discrimination:

  • Crown management have agreed that no employee will be denied access to employment opportunities - including promotion, training or multiskilling on the basis of sick leave usage. 
  • Crown management have committed to guaranteeing this in our enterprise agreement and ensure every manager in every area knows our rights. 

UNION MEMBERS STANDING STRONG HAVE WON BIG ON ISSUES THAT MATTER

  • Agreed: improved workplace health and safety
    Including new outlet induction, OSCAR training and consultation processes on OH&S incidents.
  • Agreed: improved access to shift swaps
    We’ve locked in personal swaps, annual leave top up on early outs on public holidays and the ability for full timers and part timers to shift swap on public holidays.

  • Agreed: improved access to annual leave
    Crown have agreed on a working party to improve access to leave and minimum response times for leave applications.

  • Agreed: improved access to your union delegates
    We’ve won increased training for delegates, better access to your union during breaks and improved induction at the start of employment.

  • Agreed: improved part time conversion register
    A guarantee that all departments must recognise and comply with the register and that staff on top of the list must have priority for conversion.
